Getting traffic to your site will ultimately determine if its going to be successful or not. I received an email the other day from Jason Gazaway about this very subject, and a take on traffic generation Ive never really considered till now and I want us all to try and use it. It will enhance visitors experience to your site as well as delivering some killer backlinks if applied properly.

Generating traffic can be a lot of hard work,
but what if instead of going about it in the
standard way, you simply TOOK traffic from
other blogs!
Think about it: If you target blogs in your
niche that ALREADY have tons of traffic,
you’re going to be able to tap into them
fairly convincingly.
And the method for you to accomplish this is:
Blog commenting.
Let’s face it, blogs THRIVE on the fact that
they allow readers to ‘comment’ and thus
communicate with the authors.
So in a nutshell, each and every blog is its
own vibrant community, so to speak.
Just as with forums, your aim should be to
break into that community, and channel
traffic from it!
How do you do this? Well, for one thing you
need to choose the RIGHT blog post to comment
on.
Basically, you don’t want to be commenting on
any old blog post seeing as it might not
really be able to generate a lot of traffic.
But the type of blog posts that you DO want
to comment on are the ones that:
1. Have good traffic
2. Are related to your niche
Some blogs come with a ‘top posts’ list that
should let you know what posts are most
popular, most commented on, and so forth.
Using these lists, you should be able to
quite easily find something that fits these
two requirements.
After that, all you need to do is post a
comment that:
1. Is relevant, and 2. Is helpful, and 3.
Contains a link to your website!
One of the best ways to do all this is to
start a post on your own blog that deals with
a question that might have been posed in
another blog.
Then, link to it as the answer to that
question.
By doing so, you’re not going to annoy any
blog owners, and you’ll be able to get your
link up while ensuring that it gets the
attention that you desire.
How’s that for a good strategy?
No matter what you do, don’t spam blogs with
comments as that’s a good way to be certain
that ALL your comments end up in the trash
can.
Just be polite, helpful, and relevant -
that’s all it really takes.
So there you go, its simple but it works, I have been commenting on my favourite blogs and sites for ages, but have only recently realised the power of those comments IF DONE PROPERLY.
So in that spirit I want you to leave me your comments, you can leave links back to your site, but please no spam, make them useful and interesting. The best comment to this post will receive a free copy of AffiliateRockstarDomination
